A student may complete one (1) Career Pathway, or two (2) Career Pathways, if demonstrating proper competency per the Vocational Skills Records (VSR’s) on each Career Pathway.
Each Training Program curriculum and expected knowledge, skills, and abilities are developed in partnership with a designated Occupational Advisory Committee.

Training Program Description: WWRC's Health Occupations Training Program is an approved program by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE).
In the Personal Care Aide training program, clients acquire the basic skills and knowledge for assisting with personal care. Successful completion of this curriculum, or demonstrated/verified mastery of skills, is required for entry to the WWRC Nurse Aide Program.
The Personal Care Aide Program adheres to the established curriculum of the Virginia Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS). A designated Occupational Advisory Committee provides ongoing guidance for relevant instructional design, sequence and practices as well as current technologies, labor market trends, and industry expectations.

WWRC's Nurse Aide Program is approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing, in compliance with state regulations and requirements. The Board of Nursing must approve any changes in the Nurse Aide curriculum prior to implementation and must approve all instructors involved in the program and their credentials. A designated Occupational Advisory Committee provides ongoing guidance for relevant instructional design, sequence and practices as well as current technologies, labor market trends, and industry expectations.
