WWRC accepts applications of any individual with a disability whose needs are compatible with the structure, staff, and other WWRC resources. Primary consideration is given to Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services’ clients pursuing vocational goals. To make a non-DRS referral contact the Admissions Department. Applications are accepted continuously throughout the year and are valid for 12 months from the date of completion. WWRC schedules weekly admissions throughout the year, except during scheduled holidays. Scheduled admissions are dependent on program availability and curriculum.
Vocational Service fees include the cost of tuition ($76/day), room and board ($101/day), and support services such as rehabilitation counseling, ‘wrap-around’ behavior supports, student health, recreation, meals and housekeeping. Non-residential, day students are charged $60/day in addition to the cost of tuition. Additional charges for Medical Rehabilitation Services will be assessed depending on the special program needs of individual clients. The Admissions Department will assist all clients in determining financial eligibility from available funding sources.
For more information about WWRC’s Fee Schedule or for information about opportunities and requirements for financial aid, contact the WWRC Admissions Office.

Exceptions and Additional Criteria
Appeals of WWRC admission decisions are addressed through Division of Rehabilitative Services (DRS) Field Manager and Counselor’s review. If the admission is supported by the DRS Field Manager with supporting documentation, the applicant’s denial will be reconsidered by the WWRC Admissions Committee.
